Eternal embrace

ROME (Reuters) - Call it the eternal embrace.

"It's an extraordinary case," said Elena Menotti, who led the team on their dig near the northern city of Mantova.

"There has not been a double burial found in the Neolithic period, much less two people hugging -- and they really are hugging."

Menotti said she believed the two, almost certainly a man and a woman although that needs to be confirmed, died young because their teeth were mostly intact and not worn down.

"I must say that when we discovered it, we all became very excited. I've been doing this job for 25 years. I've done digs at Pompeii, all the famous sites," she told Reuters.

"But I've never been so moved because this is the discovery of something special."

A laboratory will now try to determine the couple's age at the time of death and how long they had been buried.

imagine how those lovers could die together...perhaps suicide??

to die in that position obviously means that they were prepared to end their lives that way...research says they died young...to embrace death that way...i guess love can do wonders..

love is a double-edged sword..as much happiness as it can give u, it can also leave u in pain and suffering... throughout this 19 years of life(ahaha...ok la...the first 13 years don't count la) i have experienced ppl embracing love either with happiness or pain..

it seems that your the happiest person on earth when ur inlove...the best part which is the day the gurl/guy accepted the other...the worst when they break off...

why then do we love??? if it brings so much pain afterwards?? well i guess the fact is that we are willing to take the chances of being hurt just to love one...like the saying "its better to have loved and lost then not being loved at all"....

sometimes i see ppl who really love his/her gf/bf so much but their gf/bf don't seem to realise or appreciate them... the most irriatting part is when few years down the road...when ur with another one they come and tell u...'you know wat??? i realised...that im a fool to treat u that way last time.. i realised that you treated me the best..' well yeah...why does it suck?? because why do we need to know then...we always knew we loved u so much and gave it our best...you din realise then but only after u went thru other broken relationships that u realise that we were the best..(i knoe..i've had 2-3 ex saying that to me...kekeke..kembang...)

i've seen alot of friends go thru that phase...and some of them ruin relationships in the process...because by telling your ex that "i realised i love u the most" when he is in another relationship jeopardizes it...

so a message to those who are reading this(if there are any) please realise that ur significant other might be the one who loves you the most...and would give all just for u...appreciate them..
