Nottingham Games.
Waking up at 3 am to get ready for a bus that leaves at 4 is not a very enjoyable thing to do escpecially when you usually sleep at 12-1.
We headed off at approx. 4 am to the Nottingham Games. What is the Nottingham Games? It is actually a mini Olympics for Malaysian students in Unis all around Britain. They all meet up at Nottingham to compete in games such as Football, Basketball, Ping Pong, Badminton, Squash, Netball, Volleyball and even snooker. Why no CS wan ah? Anyhoos, the main reason why I wanted to go so badly was because of friends who will be going too!
The bus arrived at 7 am, and we were led to the sports centre and we waited for about 1/2 hour oustide in the blistering cold(mind you, I was wearing a hoodie only tinking it would be warmer south.) untill they opened the gates. The opening ceremony went on and then it was games time! I saw Pek San (who studies in Nottingham U itself) helping around the entrance of the sports centre. Decided to talk to her later after her duties where done
I called up Peter Ng (from SSGC) and we met up. He was competing Volleyball, a game which kinda got me interested in right now. His match was starting at about 1 and it wa about 8-9 so we decided to catch up alil bit. Boy was it good chatting to a familliar face after all this while.
Soon after, I got a call from Liz and she said that her ping pong match was at 3 so we hung out and sat a bus to the Portland building where the Malaysian Foodfest were held. There were Krispy Kreme! Finally got my hands on one to see what the fuss is all about and it lived up to my expectations!
We camhooed quite abit outside Portland and then went back to the sports centre to watch Peter's match. She met her friends and we split up.
Halfway through pete's match, Pek San texted me and invited me to go to the city! We met up, I made new friends and we camhooed around the city. LoL.
Although tiring, I really enjoyed it. I'd like to thank you guys for really making my day. Meeting up with not just one but all of you really puts a smile on my face. Being in newcastle and not having many familliar faces around there nor having any friends who can clique as well as you guys really depresses me. Gosh...i sound like im damn emo lor...Oh well. It was nice chatting with you guys. Thank you so much! The photos are in my facebook guys! Uploading pic here is a killer i tell you! Taa~!
